More About Jacqui McCall

Jacqui (Steele) McCall has spent her life showing up for people. Whether she’s in a meeting in Annapolis or talking with neighbors here in Prince George’s County, she brings the same approach: listen first, then get to work. Her belief is simple. Everyone deserves to be seen, to be heard, and to have access to real opportunities. That belief has guided her work at every level, from shaping policy to helping one person at a time navigate challenges and find solutions. Jacqui is committed to creating opportunities for young people to engage, lead, and see themselves as part of the process. Because when people feel seen and supported, they show up and that strengthens the entire community.

Building a Healthier Community

You Matter!

Jacqui has a long track record of turning ideas into real results for local families. She was instrumental in helping bring the Prince George’s County Maternal Health Center and the Greater Baden Medical Center to life, ensuring that mothers and families have access to quality care close to home. Greater Baden Medical Services in Brandywine…There’s story behind that one.

In her role as a community ombudsman, she serves as a bridge for residents who feel overlooked or unsure where to turn. Whether helping families navigate services or advocating for fair access to resources, McCall is known as someone who stays with people until the issue is resolved.

A Lifetime of Service

I want to help people!

Service has been a constant throughout her life. Jacqui has volunteered with organizations including the Community Builders, Washington Ear, Volunteers for the Visually Handicapped, Family Services Foundation, the Greater Washington Urban League, Chase Your Dreams, the Junior League, and Girl Scouts. Through each of these experiences, she has remained grounded in what community truly means; showing up, giving back, and making sure people are seen.

Closer to home, that commitment has included organizing food drives, sponsoring families during the holidays, mentoring youth, and helping build pathways for the next generation to get involved and stay engaged.

Jacqui also believes deeply in civic participation. Through voter registration and voter education efforts, she works to ensure that every voice is heard and every vote counts.

Legislative Leadership and Vision

Yours Bluely.

As Legislative Chair for the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee, Jacqui focuses on getting Democrats elected, supporting candidates, and making sure the needs of the community are represented.

Her work is informed by her time on the staff of Barbara Mikulski, where she served as a Projects and Outreach Coordinator helping bring federal resources home to local communities. She understands how to fight when it matters, how to negotiate when it counts, and how to bring people together to get things done.

Invest In Our Future

This is how we spell success

Jacqui believes the future of Prince George’s County depends on how we invest in people today. She has spent time helping young students learn to read and mentoring youth as they begin to think about their future.

She is committed to creating opportunities for young people to engage, lead, and see themselves as part of the process. Because when people feel seen and supported, they show up and that strengthens the entire community.

Because at the end of the day, it’s simple.

Jacqui is known for bringing people together—whether through community conversations, candidate forums, or large-scale events—and for turning ideas into action. But at her core, she is a servant leader who believes that government should work for everyone, not just the well-connected.
